Shockwave therapy, also known as extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT), is a non-invasive treatment that uses sound waves to promote healing in damaged tissues. The treatment involves delivering low-energy sound waves to the injured area, which is believed to stimulate blood flow, cell regeneration, and reduce pain.

Shockwave therapy can be used for both acute and chronic injuries and is especially beneficial for conditions such as shoulder tendinitis, elbow tendinitis, plantar fasciitis and achilles tendinopathy. NICE guidelines recommend a minimum of 3-6 treatment sessions to optimise results.

Our clinic has seen exceptional results with the use of shockwave therapy, many clients with conditions they have suffered with for many years and now pain free. So why not try our shockwave treatment today.

Massage therapy involves targeted manual techniques to relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote relaxation and recovery. Whether you’re managing chronic pain, recovering from injury, or simply looking to reduce stress, massage can play a vital role in your overall health and well-being. It can also support the body’s natural healing processes.

The types of massage we offer are:
- Sports Massage – Similar to deep tissue, ideal for injury prevention and recovery in active individuals and athletes. Focuses on specific muscle groups under repetitive stress.

- Swedish (Relaxation) Massage – Lighter massage that supports stress relief, muscle recovery, and overall well-being—especially beneficial during long rehabilitation processes

- Cupping Massage - Involves combining traditional massage with suction created by special cups placed on the skin. This creates a vacuum effect and can be glided over the skin to increase the effects. The benefits of this are increased blood flow to targeted areas, improved lymphatic drainage and detoxification and breaking down adhesions (knots) to improve tissue mobility.

Acupuncture, also known as medical acupuncture or dry needling, is a therapeutic approach that uses acupuncture needles, guided by Western medical knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology.

It focuses on stimulating nerves and muscles to relieve pain and promote natural healing processes, often by releasing endorphins and other pain-relieving substances.

Acupuncture also works via the meridians/channels of the body to maintain Qi (Chee). Imbalances in Qi can cause many illness and injuries to persist. Acupuncture works to balance this and enable return to function.

Acupuncture at our clinic is administered by qualified physiotherapists who have undergone extensive training with the acupuncture association of chartered physiotherapists. All our clinicians are insured and have registration with the charted society of physiotherapy.
